Blog 6: English Language Challenges

L earning English at university is being a fine experience to me. I had English at university in 2020 on my in the major of public administration. It was online so it wasn´t the best way to me but it was very well, I learn and grow up about the language was when I did practice exercises, because I had to find the way to expressed myself. And that was keeping being the best part of every class. My experience last year and this one are good too, because booth put a bigger focus on practice, especially this year, maybe because the last year we had to learn more vocabulary writing it as something like a list, but, to me, the best way is when I need to find the words to express an idea.  I have to work a lot in my vocabulary by the way, to talk and write but especially in listen in English. I think the best part to work on it is trying to consume more English in every way as could be possible, to me works watching English in my social media like on tiktok or talking with my friends whom...

Blog 5: Changes to my study program

  My career, as everything, have a lot of things to change, sometimes I don´t know if I am the right person to complain about it, because I don´t use all the opportunities which the major bring me, but even me notes some smalls and bigger problems they have. We can start about some useless subjects in the curriculum, when is obvious we had a lot of responsibilities on our semester, too much to a healthy and practice way to take a major. Besides, and in the same direction, we should optimize and putting the expectation on learning in the face to face class and left the online class on their forms, especially in a not synchronous way to teach the subjects. By the way, the university could take a bigger focus on the common spaces and connect it with the class. About that, knowing it´s hard to do everything considering the time we have, maybe we can grant a privilege to connect the way that we learn the career to their practice every year. Blog 4: Post-Graduate Studies

  Study in a Master´s Program is in my plans. To us, the students of psychology in the University of Chile, study a Master´s Program is a necessary resource and something like a request to practice our profession. Moreover, study a career is a hard work to everyone, but I think if you want to practice a profession is very important keep learning every time, so I considered studying in a Master´s Program because that means been more prepare to help people and keeping been on the current knowledge. In a Master´s Program I would like to study subject about social psychology, even if I don´t go to that side of the career, because I think learn about the different contexts in connection with a psychological focus is an excellent way to understand your job to every area is a thing to keeping you in a social point of view. Blog 3: My dream job

  The job which I would like to have in the future always was about help people and community I imagine it like making a better use of the social tool that we have, then I would like to be part of a change to make more social cohesion and make the democracy go in a direct way to practice it. Therefore my dream job was, first, social work, because I thought that was a major whit the better perspective and it could be but when I found psychology, I found and other way to move in the line I want. First I change my idea because the salary expected of social work is too low and study a mayor like that was a privilege I couldn´t do, besides, I discovered later, that major doesn´t takes the standpoint more interested to more, like a human focus. Furthermore, I think the major of psychology require skills that I would be more competent, because the job need to be empathy, knowing and understand the social context of the people, also demand be a good listener and never minimize the point ...

Blog 2: The best concert ever

  The best concert I went was a couple weeks ago, it was in Movistar Arena and it was a so brilliant show: the show of C. Tangana. Well, it was actually a festival, I went there to see specially three artists, a female argentine musician called Clara Cava and a Spanish guy named Sen Senra. Both of the make like chill music, the go for rap and pop music and both are very talented. I loved those, but the musician who blow my mind was C. Tangana. He is a Spanish artist too, he makes rap when he start his career and, increase his work in trap and a kind of folklore music –like tango, bachata, bolero and bossa nova-. His last album. El Madrileño, is just a masterpiece and the concert to the album doesn´t disappoint. The show was present like a movie called “Sin cantar ni afinar” (like the lyrics of his song “Un veneno”) and all the performance let you in the album and his hits, it was totally amazing and makes you feel part of all was happening, whit an audiovisual complement incredible...

Blog 1: A country I would like to visit

  If I had to choose a country to visit, I would like to go some place in Latin America because I like to find the human welt in this part of the world, like the culture or knowing how people live their lives in different and close places and understand the world and the varied realities. Because of that, I would like go to Argentina. For additional, I would like to go because the argentines musicians, of the history or the contemporary musicians. The things that I know about the country become (? From they, especially the rock history and the great artists from that and how their influence is still strong on the new generations. Also the basic information like knowing   the capital is Buenos Aires, their accent, etcetera. If I could visit the country I would like to go to a lot of concerts of artists from the new generations, and go to the historic places and the emblematic places to the history of local rock like La Cueva.
